Deadly Nadder - HTTYD Mug Set (2/4)

As I was looking online, I realized how overpriced and under-designed some nerdy mugs were. This inspired me to make my own set of mugs that A) were free, and B) would be designed by me. However, I have no skills on a ceramic wheel, but I thankfully had a friend who did. She made the body and handle of the mugs for me, whilst I created and glazed the design. Unfortunately, this one got a little messed up due to the closeness of the handle and design, but the mug holds water nevertheless.

I chose to have a chicken watch over the Nadder's egg, partially because I thought it looked hilarious and because the Nadder in How To Train Your Dragon likes chicken. Also, they both have strong legs, share similar coloring, and chickens are actually evolutionary related to dinosaurs (and therefore, dragons, if they left the Hidden World).

This piece has a 3.75" height, 3.5" depth, 3.56" width (not including handle length), and a wall thickness of 0.1875". It was fired using low-fire glazes.
