Monstrous Nightmare - HTTYD Mug Set (3/4)

As I was looking online, I realized how overpriced and under-designed some nerdy mugs were. This inspired me to make my own set of mugs that A) were free, and B) would be designed by me. However, I have no skills on a ceramic wheel, but I thankfully had a friend who did. She made the body and handle of the mugs for me, whilst I created and glazed the design.

I chose to have the Monstrous Nightmare follow a family of Yaks as a way to play on the idea that the dragon thinks it's one of the Yaks. After all, they both have those very distinctive horns and are native to the island of Berk. Though the dragon may learn the difference between them after it learns to ignite... Either way, the concept seems hilarious to me and I'm so pleased that the design covers all around the mug.

This piece has a 3.625" height, 3.25" depth, 3.625" width (not including handle length), and a wall thickness of 0.1875". It was fired using low-fire glazes.
