"COPHINE Comfort" - Orphan Black Fan Art

For those who have not watched the 3rd-5th seasons of Orphan Black, read at your own risk of spoilers!

Cosima and Delphine have a very complicated, push-and-pull relationship, yet they still deeply love each other. When Delphine dies in the famous "bury your gays" era of 2016, Cosima is a complete wreck. But, it turns out Delphine survived and is still working to protect Cosima. This image is from when Cosima finally finds out Delphine is alive and despite everything, Cosima falls into Delphine's arms, safe and happy and in disbelief that she's hugging her. I wanted to capture these emotions, so I really focused on shading the colors of Cosima's facial expression and the differing darknesses of ink around the two.

This piece is 6"x 9" and was created using ink and watercolor pencils.
