This piece is the sixth piece of 12 to be viewed in this portfolio. It is 9" x 12" and was created using acrylic paint. In this piece, I wanted to show the strength needed to be your own hero and played on the idea of Rapunzel letting down her hair for her savior. In fact, if you look closely in her hair, you can see a beret castle and a knight fighting to reach it, but, little does that knight know, Rapunzel is becoming her own savior by owning who she is.
Portfolio Summary:
Humans. Every single one of them lives a beautiful, painful life, yet there are always these moments in our lives that can connect us to one another. For instance, everyone can remember a moment when someone embarrassed them as a kid. We all know what that feels like, how one wants to hide their burning red cheeks and run away. It is moments like these - ones of intense, unfiltered, and paradoxically personal and universal human emotion - that I try to capture in my Concentration Portfolio.
