"Mom of Steel(ix)" - Pokemon Fan Art

This piece was created using watercolor pencils and watercolor. It is 9" x 12".

The Pokemon Onix and Steelix are known for only being made out of one material, the one hidden in their name. But, there once was an amazing episode about a Crystal Onix, so I thought, why not have several Onixes made of other materials? Thus, I created a piece of artwork where a mother Steelix carefully looks after her children made of many different, textured, and exotic rocks/minerals. I also named the piece as a pun on the Man of Steel (Superman), as a Mom of Steel, a.k.a Steelix.
