Sea Lemon Slug - Tea Infuser

I absolutely love sea slugs. I love seeing them, learning about them, and I loved getting to pet one in my Marine Science Class. They are a perfect combination of cool, weird, adorable, and (to most people) gross. Thus, I knew I had to make something to honor the species, and because I was a little obsessed with tea at the time, I happily created this tea infuser. I also got to splatter-paint a piece for the first time, which was really fun.

But, I did hit some difficulty with curling it's head to the proper angle without letting gravity tear it's head off, and firing it so the whole thing was covered in glaze but didn't stick to the kiln. It survived all these processes and I'd do nothing differently, except make it longer so it can more easily infuse tea.

It is 4" from antennae (known as rhinophores on slugs) to tail, 3" from head to gills, and it's hole for tea has a depth of 2.5". It was created using low-fire glazes.
