This piece is 9" x 12" and was made using watercolor pencils.
This piece was inspired by a character from Avatar the Last Airbender, a show I've deeply loved since childhood. Uncle Iroh is a mentor character, but he is so much more than that. He's an old man who loves tea (especially Jasmine!), becomes a refugee and creates The Jasmine Dragon Tea Shop, looks after and guides his nephew Zuko, and drops wisdom that is still relevant/useful today. Every time I re-watch ATLA and see his brief appearance in the Spirit World of Legend of Korra, his quotes always resonate and find new meaning in me. This is my homage to such an amazing character, character arc, and show.
