This piece is the fourth piece of 12 to be viewed in this portfolio. It is 8.5" x 7" and was created using acrylic paint. This piece revolves around a sad and common human thing: abuse. In the eyes of the girl and dog, I tried to capture these complex emotions abuse survivors felt, including fear, uncertainty, the will to fight and protect, etc.
Portfolio Summary:
Humans. Every single one of them lives a beautiful, painful life, yet there are always these moments in our lives that can connect us to one another. For instance, everyone can remember a moment when someone embarrassed them as a kid. We all know what that feels like, how one wants to hide their burning red cheeks and run away. It is moments like these - ones of intense, unfiltered, and paradoxically personal and universal human emotion - that I try to capture in my Concentration Portfolio.
