"Clara Who?" - Doctor Who Fan Art

This piece is the first time I have ever used ink in a painting, as well as alchohol-based markers.

It was inspired by season 9 of Doctor Who (warning, spoilers and nerdiness ahead!).

Clara Oswin Oswald was my favorite companion in Doctor Who. So, when the Doctor said the quote featured in my painting, it made me mourn for Clara even more. This propelled me to research and illustrate the exact moment(s) that the 12th Doctor mentions in the quote. I also added the raven wings and tail to Clara, because she was killed by a raven and it makes her look like the angelic memory the Doctor has of her. I then filled these in with colors of the universe and time-travelling, partially because it was said her character was addicted to travelling with the Doctor and because it brings attention to the ravens carrying the fond memories mentioned in the quote.
